My week: 7000Words

80*81 is a research project by Christopher Roth
and Georg Diez, in which they explore the
cultural, political and social changes of
1980 and 1981.

For the release of their seventh book we
invited the music legend Fetisch/Terranova for
a live show with &Me from Keinemusik alongside
Marc Brandenburg, Nine Budde and two actors
for the staging of Dorthy Strattens murder.

Pascal Alexander, Glory Days

"The black and white imagery takes
an in depth look at one of the most
pivotal era’s in cycling and creates
a real spectacle with the fascinating
angle by Pascal Alexander."
The New Order Magazine, SlamXHype

"I'm really into it and the photography
and presentation is out of this world...
...there is so much mystery surrounding it."
Jeremy Dunn, Rapha

"Got this great little fanzine with the
post the other day. Even if my personal
favorite era in cycling is from ´86 to´96
I still love the ´60s and ´70s very much."
Karl-Oskar Olsen (Wood Wood) in Arkitip

Für Immer
Type: Publishing, design, editing, programing
Year: 2008 - 2010

The limited time period being concept from
the beginning, my publishing house Für Immer
(Forever) disappeared after "The Last Zurich
Zine Session", itself celebrated by various
publishers as the funeral of the book fair concept,
with it's last issue "Für Immer War Gelogen"
(Forever was a lie).

The publications are all out of print, but No Layout
has them in it's online library.

Wood Wood 2008

Since Wood Wood has a strong relationship
to bike culture I invited them to be part of the
Bicycle Film Festival Zürich in 2008.

While many of their staff are heavily into bikes,
most enthusiastic is co-founder Karl-Oskar Olsen,
who was brought up in an active cycling family,
with his brother and father having a professional
and semi-professional past respectively.

On this occasion, Karl and I worked out this small
collaboration and also presented their Vision
road bike which premiered a week before at
Monsieur André´s Black Block au Palais de Tokyo
in Paris.

The "bike therefore I am" T-shirt was limited to
50 pieces and came with a copy of Cyklette,
both designed by Karl-Oskar Olsen.

Bicycle Film Festival Zürich 2008

Main coordination of the first Bicycle Film Festival Zürich.
Complete realization of the Festival including budget,
sponsoring, design, advertising, parties, art shows and bike
events.

Four days with sold out screenings at Kino Xenix, the first
European Bike Polo Showdown, three parties including a big
afterparty at the Freitag Factory among others with DJ Kaos
and Tensnake, two art shows with Peter Sutherland, Wood
Wood, Futura 2000, Mediengruppe Bitnik and more.

The design work included various bicycle themed
shopwindows, a folded program, separate flyers for each
event and screenprinted trucktarp flyers which have been
hung on almost a 1'000 bicycles around town.

The Trailer was directed by Mathias Truniger and features
a track from DJ Kaos called "Love The Night Away" which
will be released in spring 2009 on Rong/DFA.
